The Daily Star said that I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! bosses hope that model and former rugby star Kris Smith, 32, will shed light on the couple's relationship.
A source was quoted as saying: "People have seen plenty of photos of Kris but few really know him.
"He's always referred to as Dannii's boyfriend and he thinks doing I'm A Celebrity would be a good chance to show everyone who he really is.
"He would be great eye candy for the female viewers, too."
Those previously tipped to star in the ITV show include Imogen Thomas, Lindsay Lohan's ex Aaron Carter and Dollar singer Thereza Bazar.
Earlier this year, former X Factor judge Dannii and her boyfriend, parents to one-year-old son, Ethan, insisted they remain "committed to their relationship" after reports they were having problems.
